Woodbury PD Blotter: Thong Song, Ring Sting, Ladies’ Man Has Warrants

The following information was obtained from recent police reports.

A home at the 6000 block of Linden Road was reported burglarized and three men’s rings, a Super 8 projector, 10 neckties and other items were stolen.

A resident contacted police after someone stole her phone and posted photos of her in a thong on Facebook. The man she suspected of stealing the phone had left for Chicago, and officers advised her to contact Facebook about removing the photos.

A vehicle parked at the 7700 block of Steepleview Road was broken into and several items were taken, including a laptop computer, digital camera, purse, a personnel file and possibly an iPod. Someone broke a window to gain entry.

A Woodbury resident came to the to report that her husband, from whom she is separated, had been leaving threatening messages on her phone, including saying he wasn’t afraid to go to jail and that something might happen to her family. She didn’t want to press charges but wanted the incidents documented.

Woodbury police helped the State Patrol check on an unoccupied disabled vehicle in a cornfield near the intersection of Manning Avenue and Bailey Road.

Police were able to track down a woman who stole four rings from a home at the 11000 block of Balsam Way. The items had been pawned in Oakdale.

A woman at the 2800 block of Wimbledon Ridge called police after she and her boyfriend got into an argument because he was talking to another woman on the phone. Police found that he had several warrants out for his arrest. He was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Police were called about a disturbance at but employees had sent the parties on their way by the time officers arrived.

A cashier at admitted to stealing about $2,000 from her registers over the past three months. Loss-prevention officials noticed the shortage and found the St. Paul woman had taken the money.

A resident at the 6600 block of Stratford Road called police after he heard explosions in the area. Police checked the neighborhood but didn’t find the origin of the noise.

Police received a report of a vehicle traveling the wrong way on the Interstate 494-Tamarack Road ramp.

A man at the 1000 block of Interlachen Parkway chased after a group of juveniles who played ding-dong ditch at his home and ran into a waiting SUV.

Police were called after swastikas and explicit images were drawn on a vehicle parked at the 2500 block of Brittany Lane. No one in the home is a member of a racial minority. The family believed it was a high school prank, as the home was egged recently.

A couch was left in front of a home at the 9000 block of Sierra Road as a prank. The homeowner informed police that his son's friends would remove it.

A vehicle at the 6800 block of Newbury Road had its front driver-side window broken and an iPod Touch and car charger valued at $300 together were reported stolen.

Several mailboxes at the 1100 block of Scarborough Lane—and many others in the neighborhood—were opened. Police did not find any mail in the area.

Two portable DVD players were reported stolen from by a man who took them and ran out the front doors.

Police were called about a man who was apparently harassing customers at the City Centre . Officers found the man, who said he was walking to the liquor store, but was keeping to himself.

A resident called police about a home at the 1100 block of Cedarwood Drive that had about five various items sitting out in front of the garage. An officer determined some spring cleaning was afoot.
