Woodbury Police Blotter: Feb. 3-8

The following information was compiled from recent police reports.

Police were called on Feb. 3 after three vehicles parked at the 10000 block of City Walk Drive had their windows broken out and items stolen from them. A laptop computer, its bag and paperwork and luggage tags were stolen from a Nissan Xterra. A GPS device was taken from a Dodge Durango and a GPS was also stolen from a Toyota Camry.

A cell phone valued at $90 was reported stolen from the Radio Shack at Valley Creek Plaza on Feb. 4. Employees told police they believed the suspect had a magnetic key to remove the phone from a cable it was attached to.

The window of a Chevrolet Cavalier was broken and several items were reported stolen from the vehicle on Feb. 4. It was parked in a driveway at the 8800 block of Sequoia Road.

Three people pulled a “dine and dash” on an $86 tab at the Champps Americana restaurant on Feb. 4. One of the people came back and covered two portions of the bill. Police learned that the man who was supposed to pay the bill left had violated a provision of his license by drinking.

Police were called to Bed, Bath & Beyond on Feb. 4 on a report that a man had urinated in the parking lot. The caller said the woman with him thought it was funny. Police could not locate the urine.

A number of items, including a laptop computer and other devices belonging to 3M, were reported stolen from a vehicle parked at T.G.I. Fridays on Feb. 4. Police later learned that the man’s daughter had taken the gear without his knowledge.

Police were called to Throwbacks Bar and Grill on Feb. 5 on a report of a fight. Two women got into a minor scuffle. Police learned that several people associated with the incident were drunk. No one wanted to press assault charges, but management requested a trespass form for one individual.

Police were called to the 1600 block of Headwaters Lane after a resident noticed footprints in the snow that went all around the house and stopped at windows and a patio door. There was no damage to the home and nothing was stolen.

A $300 purse, a checkbook and $20 in change were reported stolen from a vehicle parked at Lifetime Fitness on Feb. 5. A window was smashed out of the 2009 Volkswagen.

Police were called to the intersection of Valley Creek Road and Woodbury Drive on Feb. 6 on a report that two men were rolling around on the ground fighting. They were calm and hugging each other when police arrived. Neither wanted to pursue charges.

Three trees were toilet-papered at a home on the 1300 block of Whistler Point Road during the overnight hours of Feb. 5-6. The caller said it was the second time it had happened in recent weeks. The man has no children and doesn’t know why his house was targeted.

Police were called to a home at the 9000 block of Wentlock Road on Feb. 6 after a woman allegedly punched her 27-year-old son in the nose. He did not want to press charges.

Someone attempted to steal a 2001 Nissan Sentra parked at the 6700 block of Ashwood Road. Police got the call on Feb. 6 when the owner noticed a broken window and damage to the ignition. Police found a screwdriver on the floor of the car and sent it to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for processing.

Police were called to the 2500 block of Woodlane Drive on Feb. 8 after a resident noticed suspicious footprints around her home.
