2013 Woodbury Community Expo Less Than a Month Away

The Woodbury Community Expo, the largest gathering of its kind in the east metro, is less than a month away.

The fourth annual event is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at the Bielenberg Sports Center.

It will be the last major event at the sports center’s dome before it’s torn down to make room for a new $21.8 million field house, new two-story lobby and outdoor rink, along with other improvements.

Admission is free, and the Woodbury Community Expo features entertainment and activities for all ages, along with booths of local businesses, organizations and food vendors, according to a release from the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce, which organizes the event.

Children’s entertainment includes Ronald McDonald, Bruce the Bug Guy, a presentation from the University of Minnesota’s Raptor Center and the 3M Wizard program. 

St. Mary's University is the premier sponsor of the EXPO.  Other sponsors include: Parnell & Associates a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial, Footprints Academy/Peace of Mind Daycare, Minuteman Press, Postal Credit Union, Summit Orthopedics, Superior Landscape & Irrigation, The Urgency Room, Wellington Management, Inc., Xcel Energy, CenturyLink, the Woodbury Bulletin and Woodbury Magazine and Woodbury Patch.
