The joint application the council set to review Wednesday comes from Cabela’s and Jerry’s Enterprises. There are also plans for other retail buildings at the site, possibly a fast food store, convenience store and/or multi-tenant retail, according to a council memo.

The applicants are requesting a planned-unit development, conditional-use permit and preliminary plat approval for the site. However, only the Cabela’s store is being reviewed for site and building plan approval; the other spots are only conceptual at this time.

Plans call for the restaurant to be housed on the second floor of the new lobby. The company plans to apply for a full liquor license for the restaurant.

Gartner Restaurant Holdings is also set to operate the concession area on the first floor of the lobby, along with food carts that could serve the surrounding fields, similar to golf course operations.

Strategic Initiatives

Following the regular meeting, the council is expected to adjourn to a workshop regarding 2013-15 strategic initiatives.
