Council Preview: Site Plans For Funeral Home, Courtly Road Assessments

The Woodbury City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Woodbury City Council on Wednesday will hold public hearings related to plans for a new funeral home and assessments for Courtly Road roadwork.

O’Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home plans to construct a 12,600-square-foot building at the northeast corner of Valley Creek Road and Donegal Drive, east of . The council is expected to vote on the site plans.

Meanwhile, the city will hold a public hearing regarding assessments for the Courtly Road project. The council earlier this year opted to tack on the roadwork because of the city’s for the work. It was not originally slated as part of the city’s this summer.

The proposed assessments would account for about $75,000 of the $456,000 project, which will improve Courtly Road from Lake Road to Century Avenue.

A public hearing will also be held regarding Stonemill Farms additions 10-14.

The city council meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.

Other items on the agenda for Wednesday include:

  • A review of the 2010 audit and annual financial report.
  • A discussion of the city’s zoning policy.
  • Likely approval of Woodbury’s mission, vision and values statements.
