Patch is Collecting Questions for Obama and Romney for the Next Presidential Debate

If you have a question for the candidates, submit it in the comments section below and it could be asked during the televised Oct. 16 Town Hall Presidential Debate.

If last Wednesday’s presidential debate left you with more questions than answers, here’s your chance for the presidential candidates to address the issues that most matter to you.

The next presidential debate will be a town hall meeting format at Hofstra University in Long Island, where voters will ask Barack Obama and Mitt Romney about domestic and foreign policy.

Patch is asking you, our readers, to participate by submitting questions for the candidates.

All you have to do is post your question in the comments section below and we’ll send it to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The group is partnering with Patch's parent company Aol, along with Google and Yahoo, to take questions from Web users across the country.

Don’t wait until Nov. 6 to have a say in this year’s election. Share your thoughts in the comments!

Why does the united states continue giving foreign Aid to other countries when we are so in debt that we don't have the money to pay for the things the American people need?

Why are the Republicans against government "butting in" on issues relating to minimum wage laws and equal pay for women, but they see no problem with government interfering on women's right to reproductive freedom, including the right to choose to terminate a pregnancy?

My question is for Governor Romney. As a registered Independent, which Mitt Romney position is the accurate one? For or againt ACA? What would you replace it with? For 5 trillion dollar tax cut or not? For hiring teachers or firing teachers to cut government spending? Please give final specific position on issues.

This question is for Mr. Romney. In the previous debate when asked what kind of gov't programs you would cut or scale back to help our national defecit, you responded cuts to public television. Thats a start. Do you have any specific plans you can name concerning the rest of the 99.9999% of our spending?

This question is for President Obama. In May 2011, Florida passed legislation requiring mandatory drug screening for in state welfare recipients, based on the premise that taxpayers should not be supporting those with illegal habits. Do you favor legislation of this type on a national scale, and, if so, do you support testing other recipients of tax dollars such as politians? It seems to be a glaring double standard to single out a particular group for this scrutiny.
