Snapshot: What's Happening At That Woodbury Pond?

A Woodbury Patch Facebook fan asked. Here's the answer.

Last week, someone asked on the Woodbury Patch Facebook page what was happening at the pond at Radio Drive and Seasons Parkway.

Desiree Siggens said she was curious, but added: "It has been driving my kids crazy!"

We put the word out to the city's communications guy, Jason Egerstrom, who is always helpful.

Here's what he said is going on at the pond, which is currently dry and has plenty of exposed rocks.

The city’s contractor is conducting routine storm water pond maintenance at the pond located east of Radio Drive and south of Seasons Parkway. They are removing sediment from the bottom of the pond (also known as dredging). Typically, it takes about a week and a half, weather permitting.

There you have it, in case you were wondering too. I did spot a city truck at the site today, Feb. 17, so it seems like work is moving along.
