University of Dallas

Christopher Burns, a sophomore classical philology major from Woodbury, has been named to the University of Dallas dean's List for the fall 2011 semester.

Labovitz School of Business & Economics

Alyssa (Aly) Shimota, of Woodbury, made the fall 2011 dean’s list at the Labovitz School of Business & Economics.

Emory University

Chrystin Skog, of Woodbury, received a master of medical science degree from the School of Medicine of Emory University in Atlanta on Dec. 17, 2011.

UW-River Falls

Olson Cheyenne, of Woodbury, has been named an American Society for Horticultural Science Collegiate Scholar. Cheyenne is majoring in horticulture at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. The award honors juniors and seniors majoring in horticulture for their academic achievement. Students must be in the top 15 percent of their class based on academic standing, and are selected based on their scholarship achievements, leadership abilities and service to their programs.

Sarah Nisleit and Ryan West, both of Woodbury, were among 13 University of Wisconsin-River Falls accounting students who provided residents there with free assistance preparing tax returns in February and March.

Peter Brudzinski, of Woodbury, was inducted into the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Chapter of Sigma Pi Sigma, the national honor society for physics, on March 23.

Abbie Morris, of Woodbury, is a freshman on the University of Wisconsin-River Falls softball team.

University of Minnesota, Morris

Emily Johnson, of Woodbury, was recently touring with the University of Minnesota, Morris Concert Choir. Some of the 2012 East Coast tour stops included: Wilmington, Delaware; Ocean City, Maryland; Auburn, Maine; New Brunswick, Canada; and Quebec City, Canada.

Charles Cain, of Woodbury, has been accepted to and has chosen to attend the University of Minnesota, Morris. Cain, a 2012 graduate of , will attend Morris beginning fall 2012. Cain is a recipient of the Morris Scholarship, a $5,000 per year scholarship plus a one-time $2,500 scholarly stipend.

Concordia

Debra Schreiner, of Woodbury, a student at Harding High School, has been admitted to Concordia University, St. Paul for the fall 2012 semester. Schreiner was awarded the Transfer Regents scholarship and Transfer Partnership scholarship and Phi Theta Kappa scholarship. These achievements provide a total of $11,000 in funds.

Biola University

Lindsay Ahlquist, of Woodbury, was named to Biola University's fall 2011 dean's list for academic excellence.
