Report: Two Woodbury Students Earn National Merit Scholarships

Sheri Li, the 2012 Woodbury High School valedictorian, and Edward Xie, a student at St. Paul Academy, were among the recipients, according to a Star Tribune post.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has announced the final 2012 winners of its scholarship program.

Two Woodbury students were among the more than 2,000 winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by colleges and universities, according to a Star Tribune report.

Sheri Li, the 2012 valedictorian, and Edward Xie, a student at St. Paul Academy, were among the recipients, according to a PDF with the post.

Li’s scholarship comes through the University of Minnesota, and Xie’s via Washington University in St. Louis.

These Merit Scholar designees join more than 2,500 other college-sponsored award recipients who were announced in late May.
