New Life Softball Players Make Wells Fargo Fargo All-Tournament Team

The award recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate "exceptional sportsmanship, team commitment, athletic ability and leadership during the state high school tournaments," according to a release from Wells Fargo.

Valerie Hohol, Nicole Johnson and Chloe Westlund of New Life Academy have been named recipients of this year’s Wells Fargo All-Tournament Team award for Class A softball.

The award recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate “exceptional sportsmanship, team commitment, athletic ability and leadership during the state high school tournaments,” according to a release from Wells Fargo.

New Life lost 3-1 to Blooming Prairie in the Class A championship game, the Pioneer Press reported.

Athletes are selected to the Wells Fargo All-Tournament Team by a panel of coaches who attended the tournament. Ten awards are presented in Class A softball.

Wells Fargo is the the premier corporate sponsor of the MSHSL, helping offset costs associated with tournaments and fine arts events for students in Minnesota.
