Olympics, Camping, Puppet Wagon: Summer Fun in Woodbury

The city recently announced several upcoming family events.

Families looking for ways to enjoy summer together might want to check out the latest offerings from the Woodbury Parks and Recreation Department.

Woodbury Olympics

What: Team Challenges, relay races, obstacle courses and more.

Who: Ages 6-11

Terrific Tuesday: Bubble Blast

What: Bubble machines, human bubbles, the Puppet Wagon and group games will create a morning of fun.

When: Tuesday, June 19, 9:30 a.m. to noon

Who: Ages 3-6

Wacky Wednesday: Barnyard Palooza

What: A chicken hand print craft, large group games, and fun activities create a wacky afternoon.

When: Wednesday, June 20, 1:30-4 p.m.

Who: Ages 3-7

Where: Evergreen West Park

Sports Sampler Sports Camp

What: Participants will learn the basics of soccer, baseball and basketball. Daily exercises, fun games and drills will be included.

When: Monday-Thursday; June 25-28, 9 a.m. to noon

Who: Ages 7-10

Carver Lake Campout

What: Bring the entire family and relive—or experience for the first time—how much fun it is to spend a night sleeping under the stars. Numerous activities will be available to participate in throughout the evening and morning. Dinner, campfire treats, and a continental breakfast will be provided.

When: Beginning 5 p.m. Friday, June 22, through 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23
