Woodbury Days 2013? There’s An App for That

It's a new feature for this year's civic celebration, set for Aug. 23-25.

Want to keep up with Woodbury Days while you’re on the go?

New for this year’s civic celebration, Woodbury Days has created a mobile application that will help folks navigate the events and stay up to date on the latest happenings.

“It’s a way that we can interact with people and keep them in the loop,” said Theresa Janechek, president of the Woodbury Days Council.

This year marks the 35th annual Woodbury Days. It’s set for Aug. 23-25, with most of the events at Ojibway Park.

People can download the app at the Google Play store or Apple store, Janechek said.

It provides:

  • a schedule of events that people can add to their calendars;
  • a list of discounts and deals;
  • where to buy the Button of Savings;
  • maps;
  • information on ride passes;
  • booth numbers and information;
  • notices on changes; and
  • other details about Woodbury Days.

Woodbury Days

This year’s Woodbury Days will feature the usual events and activities: parade, carnival rides and games, booths from area businesses and organizations, Taste of Woodbury, car show, etc.

Volunteers are still needed. People can sign up through the Woodbury Days website.

People can get ride passes ahead of time and save money.

The Button of Savings is now available.

The schedule of events is now online.

There are biking and running events in which people can take part.

The Celebrity Grand Marshal for the parade is Tony Fly. The Community Grand Marshal is Grace Nester.
