2013 Woodbury Country Mile Info

More than 1,000 runners are expected to participate in the Chamber of Commerce events, which coincide with Woodbury Days.

The 32nd annual Woodbury Country Mile is set for Sunday, Aug. 25.

More than 1,000 runners are expected to participate in the events, which include a half marathon, 5K run/walk and one- and a half-mile runs for kids.

The races, organized by the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce, begin at 7 a.m. at Sam’s Club, 9925 Hudson Road, in Woodbury.

Runners can register on the Woodbury Chamber website and secure pre-registration discounts before Aug. 23.

  • Half marathon: $45; $60 race weekend
  • 5K run/walk: $35; $50 race weekend
  • One-mile fun run: $10; $15 race weekend
  • Tot Trot: $10; $15 race weekend

The half marathon starts at 7 a.m., followed by the 5K at 7:10 a.m.

The Tot Trot, for ages 2-4, is set to begin at 9:45 a.m. and the one-mile fun run, for ages 5-14, will start at 9:55 a.m.

Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt.

Country Mile sponsorship opportunities are available, as are volunteer opportunities for non-runners who want to get involved.

HealthEast Care Systems is the “Title” sponsor of the Country Mile.
